GHC were commissioned to secure the discharge of archaeological conditions attached to outline planning consent for the residential development of a 7.1ha site at Holt in North Norfolk. The initial trial trench evaluation was needed prior to submission of reserved matters, which was imminent, and so the works needed completing in very short order. The WSI was completed and approved within two days of instruction and the contractor appointed within five days. Five and a half weeks after our initial instruction the full trenching works had been completed, no significant archaeology was encountered and our client was free to submit their reserved matters application.
